Private basketball training · South Suburbs of Chicago
Private sessions for players in the south suburbs who want a better handle, a steadier jumper, and more minutes. Start with one session. You will see the difference.
What a session looks like
Every session is built around the player in front of him. Real reps, corrected on the spot, in the parts of the game that get kids on the floor and keep them there.
Keep the dribble alive under pressure. Both hands, change of pace, and finishing through contact.
Fix the form, then build the reps. Catch and shoot, off the dribble, free throws when tired.
Jab, rip, pivot, euro, floater. Get to a spot and finish with either hand.
Reading screens, spacing, when to attack and when to move the ball. The stuff coaches notice.
Stance, slides, closeouts. The habits that earn trust from a coach handing out minutes.
Players leave knowing exactly what they got better at. That shows up at tryouts.
Who trains with Coach
A fourth grader learning to use the left hand and a senior fighting for a starting spot get the same attention. Not the same workout.
Grades 3 to 8. Fundamentals and confidence, with good habits built before bad ones set in.
Tryout prep, position skills, and off-season work that shows up in November.
Rec league, pickup, or getting back into it. Fix the jumper and stop losing to your coworkers.

Meet Coach Gaines
Coach Gaines has trained alongside professional and overseas players, and he brings that standard to every session. Players get pushed, and they get told exactly why.
Sessions are one on one, so every rep gets watched and every mistake gets corrected right there. Parents are welcome to stay and watch.
Based in the south suburbs. Sessions at local gyms and outdoor courts, or your driveway when the weather allows.
